But with dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering love for off-road vehicles, we’ve been able to sift through the junk to identify the diamonds in the rough. Not all aftermarket parts and accessories for the Kubota line of side-by-sides are created equal. So we set out to find products for the Kubota UTV that are not only strong and durable, but also functional, versatile, and affordable. We began collaborating with firms like EMP, KFI, and UTVZilla, and then expanded our partnerships to include over 100 of the industry’s best and brightest companies. New engines, new colors, and new standard accessories are all things that riders can look forward to from Kubota’s 2023 RTV lineup. The limited-edition Stone Gray model of the 2023 Kubota Sidekick now comes with an improved gas engine capable of generating 54HP and 48 pound-feet of torque – a modest improvement over the 2022 Sidekick which gives users a little more oomph on the low end. The 2023 Kubota RTV Sidekick also comes with over a dozen accessories pre-installed, including a roof, a windshield, a winch, and an electric dump bed! And if the Stone Gray color scheme doesn’t suit your fancy, the 2023 Kubota Sidekick also comes in Desert Sand.
Another welcomed addition to the Kubota UTV family is the 2023 Kubota RTV520 Crossroads edition. The 2023 RTV520 was designed to be nimble yet mighty. And although its 17.4HP twin-cylinder engine isn’t the most powerful motor in existence, it’s more than capable for the average residential user. You can add a full cab to your 2023 Kubota RTV520 build, and the vehicle also comes with front and rear work lights as well as cargo mats and an in-dash glovebox.
Due to supply chain issues and material shortages, there were no major changes made to the 2022 line of Kubota RTVs as far as specs or features go. Although some riders have expressed concerns about quality control measures and non-validated substitutions to materials and processes, QC is very important to Kubota, and despite material constraints, labor constraints, and supply chain hiccups, everyone we’ve talked to has had great luck with their 2022 Kubota RTVs!
In 2021, Kubota dropped the RTV520, which has a completely redesigned hood, closed-in winch mounts, and enhanced fits / finishes for the roof, windshield and cab for a better seal. Changes were also made to the operator system of the 2021 RTV520 to make things more comfortable – such as the addition of dials in the dash as well as an electric fuel gauge to make monitoring fuel levels much easier. Because it uses a hydrostatic transmission, you’ll still get some oil pressure built up in the 2021 RTV520, which makes it a pit pesky to shift – it’s more comparable to the 2021 Kubota diesels than the 2021 Kubota 850 Sidekicks in terms of shifting abilities. Although the cowling around the bed is updated, the cargo box remains 100% metal. Compared to the old RTV500, the 2021 RTV520 has refreshed body panels, more availability in terms of accessories, additional dials / meters in the dash, and better fits / finishes all around!
